younger reading
Back when I was about four I loved to read a little box of books called when I go by Jill Harker. There are are four books called: when I go to the park, When I go to the farm, when I go to the nursery and when I go to the supermarket. And guess what I still have them today! sitting on my shelf. The plot of the books is basically one child goes somewhere and they say what they do, and then at the end they ask you if you can remember it all. My dad used to read it to me or I would just look at the pictures. I guess I liked it so much because it had cool pictures.

Waikite valley hot pools
| the whole of the hot pools |
The water that goes into the hot pools in actually from a river that has BOILING water going down it. The water that's taken from the river goes through a cooling process. These hot pools are one of the cleanest in new Zealand because they empty them every night. There is about 6 pools in the whole of the Waikite hot pools all of different temperature.
I went to the hot pools with my cousins Danika and kaeden. First we went in the big hot pool and then I decided that I would be brave enough to try the hottest one. And man that was a mistake I ended up jumping around shouting hot hot hot. After what seemed like hours we got out and we looked like old people (no offence old people) we were all wrinkly from being in the pool so long. Going to the hot pools was really relaxing and nice I hope you can go sometime.

MISSION FAIR
Last week was the mission fair.Sadly it was raining so we couldn't do our original idea the sponge run. But luckily we had lots more to do like snow cones, candyfloss, lolly jars and throw the sponge at the cans. I mainly worked on the candyfloss and snow cones. I think the lolly jar and the snow cones went well. we were quite successful and earned over $147.00!!
I'm a year 8 so I won't be here next year but what I would do differently would to maybe space out the break times better and to swap more on the jobs.

ROCK CLIMBING
When I am out of school I like to do indoor rock climbing. I don't go very often, but I loove it and I love when you get to the top it's such a great feeling. I started doing it during the holidays. You should give it a try!

STATS
lately for maths we have been learning statistics. this subject in maths is the only thing I'm really good at.The areas in statistics I improved in is drawing pie graphs and remembering the mode, median, mean and range. I don't really need to work on anything I know most of everything. the thing that helped me learn effectively in this unit is probably having the tests and all the sheets that we did.

OPC CAMP(is over noooooo)
| This is a pic of me on the flying fox, the flying fox goes over a 20 meter drop!! |
last week on Friday I got back from OPC camp in taupo. It was the best experience I ever had and I would love to do it again.
We left school at 10:20 and arrived at OPC at about six. During the week we did lots of activities like high ropes, canoeing/kayaking,caving,flying fox, team building, volleyball, map orienteering, urban caving, abseiling and overnight camping. All of these things were sooo FUN.
My favourite activities were caving, high ropes and the flying fox. The most challenging thing for me had to be getting up early in the morning and having a really long day. The easiest thing for me was most probably the flying fox because all you really had to do was sit down or pull a rope.
My proudest moment was when I abseiled down a 35 meter cliff first. my favourite moment was seeing all of the glow-worms in the caves. they looked like green constellations.
Camp was more than I expected it was way more fun and had much more beautiful views. Camp was the best experience ever!!
